How do the programs/courses work?

Modified on Mon, 27 Jun 2022 at 08:36 PM

Engagement RX programs utilize a behavioral change method called cognitive behavioral training, or CBT.

To complete a course, finish all sessions listed on your course homepage. For each session in your Engagement RX course, you will watch short videos and take quizzes in between the videos. There are occasionally written, or thought exercises you will be asked to complete during a session. You will know you have reached the end of a session when you have reach the congratulations screen. Your course home page will indicate a completed session with a green checkmark. After every session, you are strongly encouraged to complete the Assignments & Reading Material as soon as possible - they are an essential component in all of the courses.

It is recommended that you watch your video session the day it is scheduled. If you cannot attend on that day, the session will be open and available to take any day after the scheduled date. Please note, taking the course after the scheduled date will push all other scheduled dates out.

Our goal for you is to achieve success, and the reason for the efficacy of our programs is that they help you change certain thought processes related to your health. It takes time for your brain to absorb and adjust to the new information you learn in each session. Behavior change therefore cannot occur by going through the various sessions of a course too quickly. For that reason, you cannot take a session earlier than the displayed session date on your home screen.

Note: For LivingLean, LivingSmart and LivingFree - Watch the introduction to the course. It will explain everything you need to know to get started.

*LivingFit requires you to log your daily minutes walked and does not contain quizzes. Once you have logged 9 weeks of activity the course is completed. You are given 12 weeks to complete this goal.
